Bollywood superstar and Kolkata Knight Riders owner Shah Rukh Khan today expressed is disappointment at the ICC’s Anti Corruption Unit barring him from the team dug-out.

“I like to hang around with the boys. I am very energetic. I am very disappointed that the ICC has stopped me. I don’t know the ICC rules. I’ll tell only one thing. Nobody dare stop me from coming to Kolkata. I’ll be here whenever my team plays a match at the Eden,” Khan said.

Mumbai Indians thrash Knight Riders

Mumbai Indians annihilated the Kolkata Knight Riders today here in Mumbai. Electing to bowl first the Mumbai Indians led by Sachin Tendulkar dismissed the Riders for a paltry score of 66 in just 15.1 overs.
Sanath Jayasuriya showed no mercy on the bowlers as he raised to 48 from just 17 balls. The 38-year-old Lankan was unstoppable even as Tendulkar was dismissed for 0 by Shoaib Akthar. In the end Mumbai Indians won by 8 wickets with 14.4 overs remaining. Earlier Ganguly and Agarkar top-scored for the Knight Riders with 15 runs apiece.

After the slapping incident involving Bhajji and Sreesanth, BCCI has banned Bhajji for 5 matches after he was found guilty of slapping Sreesanth during a IPL match between Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab.The incident in Mohali left Sreesanth weeping inconsolably in full view of television cameras. Harbhajan later apologised to his India team-mate
The off-spinner who has one of the worst disciplinary records in international cricket was initially banned from playing any further part in the IPL but BCCI setup a independent investigation into this incident.

After many policies that rewarded the batsmen for the maximum sixes, orange cap for the scoring runs and pitch being tailor made to suit batsmen, this purple cap for the leading wicket-taker has come as a solace for the bowlers who have taken quite a hitting in the tournament and badly need some recognition.
